Why England were never going to win the World Cup

I’m a big football fan, adore Steven Gerrard and consider myself pretty patriotic (I used to shed a tear watching the Queen’s Birthday celebrations when living overseas, just to give you an idea). But, for the first time in my life, I wasn’t really paying much attention to the World Cup.

There was no shortage of talent, planning, desire, quality of coaching, experience and support surrounding the England squad. But ultimately, this all means sweet FA (pardon the pun) if THEY didn’t believe they can go out there and kill off the competition and bring home the trophy.

BELIEVING IN YOUR GOAL

Much as we may have played pretty well, anyone with a half-decent BS radar could detect a serious lack of belief weeks ago when watching our leaders Stevie G and Woy Hodgson in numerous press conferences. Look at their faces and tell me you disagree? If not then, it was pretty obvious once they were out on the pitch.

For anyone considering going in to business – particularly online with all there is to master – this is exactly what will hold you back from succeeding. It may sound simple and apologies if I sound condescending, but the chain of events that will lead to success in ANYTHING, will simply not take place if you do not believe in your goal.

I’m not saying, ‘think it and it will happen’ – surprisingly enough there will always be sweaty work and training involved, much like the England lads. I’m not questioning their work ethic – Wayne Rooney even put in those extra sessions… ahem! But ultimately, I’ve found from experience so far that there is a very simple formula or chain of events involved with achieving anything. You may notice a theme here… [England colours just to drive home the point]

GOALS & DESIRED OUTCOMES > daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome > PLANS & ACTIONS > daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome > FAILURE > daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome > EXPERIENCE > daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome MORE FAILURE > daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome > MORE FAILURE > MORE EXPERIENCE….

wait for it… daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome

Still waiting… getting frustrated yet?

[going to give up reading in a minute aren’t you? well don’t, there’s still ‘extra time’]

MORE ACTION, MORE PERSISTENCE

daily affirmation of your belief in desired outcome…

SUCCESS

Said, recurring theme’s short name is ‘belief’. If the above is a chain and you remove all occurrences of this, there is simply no chain to the big, bold, bigger font thing called ‘success’. Simples.

WHY BLOG ABOUT THIS?

Frankly, because there is absolutely no point whatsoever in pursuing this or any other opportunity if you don’t believe in your desired outcome. You may not know how to achieve it yet, that’s absolutely fine. But you must have a goal, a dream (I prefer ‘goal’, it’s a bit more real than ‘dream’). Our community of entrepreneurs will support you, coach you, train you and give you the tools you need to succeed in building a business online. But if YOU are not prepared to work on believing in YOURSELF (because it does take practice!), this is going to be a long and painful process for you.

As such, cynics, skeptics and naysayers need NOT APPLY!

Again, PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you are not prepared to recognise and believe in your lifestyle goals.

Without wanting to sound like a broken record, it’s that good old Henry Ford quote that always comes back to haunt us…

“whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re usually right”

Still, at least we don’t have to endure a penalty shoot out…
