Change Your Mindset
I’ve been asked by a few friends since starting out on my online venture… “What exactly IS your online business?”
I realised that to really get my point across, I needed to revert back to what inspired me to adopt an entirely new mindset without even realising back in 2011. Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki teaches and illustrates the simplest of concepts in regards to how one can choose to earn money.
A Financial Education
Although his focus in the book is primarily property or real estate investment, the principal for building an online business is exactly the same – INVEST in YOU. Put your money and efforts into something ONCE to set up an asset that then continues to produce an income for you over and over again… leaving you with more free time enjoy your life on your terms. Simples.
If you aren’t in a position to invest your hard earned cash right now or are skeptical (which is healthy – always do your research), at least invest in your mindset by reading this book. It cost me less than £3 (that’s what I pay for a coffee in London) on Amazon’s used books site but any good library will have a copy which will cost you nothing.
No excuses – it’s a MUST read! Then, when you realise it’s the smart thing to do to invest in yourself and your future by starting your own business, get some training. It will save you a LOT of time and money than if you go it alone!
So who do you go to for training? There’s no shortage of supposed gurus out there offering you the chance to make thousands within your first week. The old cliche of “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is” should be ringing in your ears to the point of distraction when you see them. It’s fairly cringe-worthy.
But if you are of the school of thought that understands that most successes in life usually involve a bit of hard work and investment, the SFM and it’s community speak your language.
