Countdown to a ‘wifi life’…
If you’re anything like me, a life of travel and the freedom to do whatever you so want with your time is a wonderful thing. The feeling of returning to the 9-5 (or the 8-6 for most in reality) after a holiday, makes you feel a little nauseous.
In my case, it’s returning to that routine after travelling/living all over the world and working on boats for a few years.
It was fun but for various reasons (which I’ll rant/blog about in more detail as we progress) I’m now back on land with a so called ‘normal’ life. Basically working to someone else’s timetable, to meet someone else’s goals, to pay someone else’s bonus. All with little freedom to do much else! This constant battle to find the time or money to do the things of any value or that actually fulfil me is quite frustrating and sad. THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER WAY…!
Put simply, it’s not all about the money. Obviously, that is the ultimate goal when setting up any business. But it’s really about the TIME and FREEDOM money can buy you by creating a lifestyle on YOUR terms and to live the best life you can . You only get one of them!
This is a blog and resource for ANYONE interested in discovering multiple means of making an income from home, a coffee shop, a boat, a beach… ANYWHERE you have access to ‘wifi’ – more commonly known as ‘the internet’! You get the idea.
Please note: you will not find any photos here of me lying across the bonnet of my Porsche telling you my monthly earnings… I am relatively new to the online marketing world so I figure this approach is a little more sincere at this stage.
My ‘wifi life’ is something I am passionately pursuing and this is my platform for sharing my experience with anyone wishing to do the same.
In other words, this is an account of the pursuit of ‘my wifi life’. An idea that has lurked in my subconscious for a while. Sometimes referred to as the ‘laptop lifestyle’. I haven’t fully achieved it yet but I have begun a transition which, given time, will get me there. Finding the opportunity was something I proactively took steps towards… as opposed to wishing and hoping that an opportunity would somehow miraculously appear in front of me.
I’ve signed up and paid for home based business schemes in the past but they essentially amounted to what others may call scams. I’m not ashamed to admit it – I got done! Admittedly, I gave up on them sooner than I should have due to their serious lack of support once they had your money. BUT this time, I think I may have found an authentic opportunity. Thus far, the resources and support available from the online community has been incredible.
There’s no such thing as something for nothing so I’ve no doubt it’ll be a bit of a slog for a while. But short term pain, long term gain…
